Well, yes.. so this is my first journal entry. I thought it would be time for writing down some things that I'm thinking about... most of all about Deviantart and it's users.
The first weeks here have been very unspectacular. I was and I still am just new and I think I could use DA to get some inspiration for what I do or want to do.
I'm feeling kinda confused because I've seen on what kind of art the people here do react. I had some really boring and bad done sketches in "Scraps" and nobody took notice of them. Now; a few days ago, I added a lot of other stuff that I've found on my computer. Mostly things that I've done couple of months or years ago. Again: No Notice.
Then I talk to Markus, from who I took some artistic nude pictures and ask him, if I am allowed to publish some of these photos here. He said yes and just a few hours after I've put a naked, nice looking guy with a sweet face on to DA, there where Messages, Comments and Fav's. Sure.. I like that kind of art too but there's so much more potential even in other kinds of art. I'd like to see that people not only notice great, perfect artwork... but also pieces of art... which have been a lot of work to the artist.. or which are not that perfect but could mean a lot for somebody.

Other hand I'm very very lucky that I've met some artists too, which are very nice and gentle... and just wonderful like Neldorwen. I think she's a great artist and I think she's really "human".

I'll see what the next future will bring.

yours,

Chris

I know exactly what you mean about no one noticing the other art that people work hard at... It's a little difficult getting good work noticed around here.
